Favorites Things Ceramic Mug - Alarm Clock, Egg, Kissy, Roller Skates
Inspired by our “Favorite Things.” I think of each mug as a miniature museum of humanity.
First I throw the mug body on the potter’s wheel. Then trim out the base, and attach handles. I then squeeze clay out of a syringe directly onto the piece, essentially “piping” each frame. With the same tool, I add a little fun around the handles as well.
After firing once, I hand paint each painting along with their frames.
Finally, I glaze each piece in a satin clear coat to both make food safe and protect the paintings.
All pieces are food, microwave, and dishwasher safe.
